10th Annual Shoreline Tournament 2021

The Fin Addict Angler Shoreline Tournament promotes a spirit of friendly competition while participants enjoy the sport of fishing with family and friends and make some special memories.

TOURNAMENT RULES

Entry Qualifications: 

This tournament is open to the public and each participant must complete a registration form and a Covid questionnaire to enter. The registration form can be submitted online or in person and the entry fee must be paid prior to the event. 

COVID-19 Safety Measures: In the acceptance of change to the new normal of Safety First, we are adhering to the guidelines of Bexar County. Please use face masks in gatherings outside of your immediate household. Social distancing is strongly encouraged during our activities. For the safety of all anglers and our communities we will have you to complete a basic questionnaire prior to participation. Please read our COVID-19 letter.

Registration: 

Early registration is strongly encouraged but not required. As a bonus, pre-registered by April 20 and you will receive a limited edition tournament t-shirt (while supplies last)! Registrations after April 20 cannot be guaranteed a t-shirt.

Registration is available on the day of the tournament. If you register in-person the day of the tournament, the entry fee must be paid in cash - no other payment methods will be accepted.

Registration Fee: 

Open Division: $40 per person

Women's Division: $30 per person

Kids Division (16 and under): $0.00 entry fee

Pre-Fish Meeting: 

There will be an informal Facebook Live Anglers meeting on April 29th, 2021 at 7:00 p.m. to go over the tournament rules and guidelines. Fin Addict Fishing Tournaments will be the Facebook host for the Live Anglers meeting.

Check-in:

Starts  Friday, April 30th at 3:30 p.m. Covid Questionnaire must be completed at check-in. Please check-in prior to fishing.

Tournament Times: 

You must check-in at the tournament table to confirm your registration before you begin fishing regardless of your arrival time.

Registered participants can begin fishing at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, April 30th and submit their fish no later than 10 a.m. on Sunday, May 2nd. Fish caught before 6 p.m. on Friday, April 30 or submitted after 10 a.m. on Sunday, May 2 will not be eligible for judging. In order for a fish to be eligible for judging, it must be submitted by the deadline. Winners will be announced at the event.

Tackle & Fishing Equipment: 

Live, dead and artificial bait will be permitted. Each participant will be allowed to have and use 2 poles at a time. Please use fishing poles or cane poles in this tournament - no nets or traps or any other method may be used in this tournament. You must bring your own fishing gear, bait etc.

Fishing Location: 

For this tournament, participants will only be allowed to fish off the shoreline of Calaveras Lake. For park fees and park rules check www.cpsenergy.com or call (210)635-8359. 

Fishing Laws: 

This tournament will adhere to all State (T.P.W.D) fishing rules. For T.P.W.D rules, visit the T.P.W.D website. Fish size must be legal in order to be eligible for judging.

Judging: 

Tournament will be catch-photo

All legal fish must be submitted and accepted to be eligible for tournament judging. All judges' decisions are final.

Awards: 

Winners for each division (1st, 2nd, 3rd TBD based on number of entries) will be announced after judging has concluded.

6-Wing Chicken Barbecue Cook-Off Contest! Join in on this FUN PAST TIME EVENT. Cook your best chicken wing recipes on Saturday, May 1st and turn in those delicious wings by 2pm for 1st and 2nd prizes. All we ask is...nothing too spicy. Contact  Oscar@finaddictangler.org for further assistance.

• 2:00 p.m. - "Just For Fun" 6 Wing Chicken Cook-Off Contest
• 5:00 p.m. - Facebook Live Raffle

Sunday, May 2nd

• 10:00 a.m. - tournament ends 
• TBD - tournament winners announced
