Family & Friends Fishing Day at Brackenridge Park

The free public event is hosted by the Brackenridge Park Conservancy. Bring your fishing rod and bait to fish the river stocked by TPWD with over 600 native catfish from 9AM to 12PM. Registration onsite for free fishing lessons and loaner fishing equipment available for small gift contributions.

About The Event
The Fin Addict Angler Foundation is partnering with Brackenridge Park Conservancy to provide a "FREE to the public" 5-15 minute fishing instructional lessons for ages 5-16 to enjoy and share a common interest at a beautiful park known for many generations. Courtesy of the Texas Park & Wildlife Department, all event participants and volunteers are fishing license exempt from 9AM to 12PM. After 12PM you are required to have your fishing license. Registration for the lessions will be held at the Joske Pavilion.
The Equipment Loaner Program is provided for the first 100 children who participated in the FREE Angler Education Instructional lessons, and are in need of a fishing rod and bait for a maintenance contribution gift of $5 per individual from 9AM to 12PM. The fishing event ends at 12pm.
