About The Event
This free Texas Park & Wildlife Department workshop is open to anyone 18 or older interested in teaching fishing skills in their community. Check-in time is from 8am to 9am. Class will start at 9am and to finish at 2pm. We, at Fin Addict Angler Foundation encourage all of our fishing event volunteers to acquire their certification to better serve the public. Ideal for teachers, scout or youth group leaders. The TPWD program provides the curriculum, equipment, materials and support to help volunteers successfully introduce youth and their families to fishing. Pre-registration with the TPWD at https://tpwd.samaritan.com/custom/1353/opp_details/222299. WE will be glad to assist you during the workshop. Please bring Texas ID for verification. This is a 5-hour course please bring your lunch. Mask is required. You will be asked to complete a questionnaire to prevent the spread of Covid. At the end of the program, you will sign up with the TPWD to create a volunteer profile and to authorize the Criminal Background Check section. You will receive your TPWD User ID and password.
